Always very active in the community, Sun Forest Construction quickly stepped up to sponsoring the first COBA Remodelers Ramp-a-thon in 2009.
Sun Forest built a ramp for Kathy in Redmond. Although Kathy does not currently use a wheelchair, she suffers from chronic pain as a result of having 10 back surgeries since 2002. Her back pain makes climbing steps very difficult, and the ramp will make access to her home much easier for now. She will also have the comfort of knowing that she will be able to access her home if she has to use a wheelchair in the future. Kathy was concerned that the addition of the ramp might not leave adequate space for her to park her car in her carport, but as part of the ramp project we will be extending the carport and moving the supporting posts to allow room for the ramp and her car. Kathy is extremely grateful that we are providing this for her, and she plans to make lunch for the crew of seven Sun Forest employees.
