Mike & Cindy O'Neil are Central Oregon favorites in the Green Building community, and both are very involved in giving back to the community, and the ramp they built for Emily Moore was no exception. Emily has a recent diagnosis of a progressive muscle disease and will require the use of a wheelchair in the future. She uses a cane now for stability. Her current ramp is a safety hazard for her to negotiate. It was built for the use of a wheel barrow to carry fire wood.
After the ramp was built, Emily sent Mike an email saying "Can you hear me clapping????? Never had I thought of a ramp as gorgeous, but mine is!! It also has a nice incline, both for going up and down, and I feel very secure on it."
